Cassini customer services
If you experience technical problems with the website (such as pages not loading, inactive buttons, looping pages, unexpected quantity limitations or error messages) please, before contacting us, do the following:

• Empty the cache on your web browser and quit and re-launch it; or
• Try using another web browser
• If you are using a promotional code please ensure that there are no leading or trailing spaces. Ideally type the code in rather than cutting and pasting.

Placing an order online
If you are a new user, please select this option on the first page of our checkout.
After adding your billing & shipping details you will be asked for an email address which we will use to send you confirmation of any order you place. You will also be asked to create a password which will be used in conjunction with your email address to set up an account for you.

Returning customers with accounts can log into their accounts and make further purchases.
You will need to log into your account to access any downloadable products that you have purchased, they are available as PDF’s for 90 days from the date of ordering.
You can also log into this account to view your order history and see if your order has been despatched.
Please note for each new order you place you will have to re-enter your card payment details as we do not capture and store these on our site.

Forgotten password
You can go to the ‘My Account’ login page and request a reminder.

Changing contact details
You can log into your account to change your password, however all other contact details, should they change, will need to be emailed to us at and we will update these for you.

Using discount codes
If you have a discount code this can be utilised at the first stage of the checkout process where there is an area for you to type this in. The effect of this discount will be shown at the final checkout stage, before you confirm your order

Paying for your order
Once you have placed your order you will be redirected to the site of our merchant service, Worldpay, which handles all payment transactions on our behalf. When you enter your payment-card details you will be doing so on their site, not ours. We do not at any time capture or store your payment-card details on our site.
During the payment procedure, you may be asked to submit to additional security checks possibly in the form of pop-up boxes headed ‘Verified by Visa’ or similar. As you are not at that point on Cassini’s site, Cassini cannot influence whether these appear or not. If you have any concerns about such messages, please contact your bank or card issuer.
Cassini also has no influence over whether your card payment is accepted or declined.

Please check before confirming your order
Postcode centred maps - the map thumbnail and map centre illustrate what you will receive so please check this carefully as personalised or post-code centred maps are not covered by our normal returns policy.
Where applicable, please also double-check your personalised inscription.
Please check your order costs: the p&p costs, the effect of any discount coupons and the total sum you will pay will be provided before you confirm it. Once you have confirmed your order we are unable to apply any discount codes.
Please make sure your delivery address is clear and complete.

Bespoke Orders
Bespoke orders are subject to non-standard ordering, returns and refund rules under Distance Selling Regulations.
Orders placed on this website that are bespoke, i.e site-centred by you using a postcode or place-name or by inclusion of a unique inscription, cannot be changed in any way retrospectively of the order being placed.
For example
• the postcode or place-name centre of the map cannot be changed
• the product cannot be changed
• the product size cannot be changed
• the inscription (if applicable) cannot be changed or added to
• the mapping series or map scale cannot be changed
• the delivery address cannot be changed

Confirming your order
Once your payment is accepted, you will receive an on-screen notification. Shortly afterwards you will also be sent two emails, one from us confirming the order and one from Worldpay confirming the payment. Please check that both are correct. The email from Cassini will confirm the address to which the order will be despatched. Both
emails will confirm other details including the amount paid, your address and the Cassini order number which should be quoted in any correspondence with us.

Please note that the emails will not confirm the details of any personalisation you might have specified, such as postcode or inscription.

If you do not receive one or either of these emails, please check your e-mail spam or junk folders. You can check your order status by logging on to your account.

N.B. Your Order status may show “Processed”, this means that your map order has been passed on to our systems for map image generation. It does not mean that your map has been printed or dispatched.

Ordering by phone or post
We are happy to accept orders by phone or post for pre-printed maps over the value of £100. Due to the higher transaction costs, we shall not, however, be able to offer any discount that may be available to on-line purchasers, save where this is expressly stated in any promotion.

Please note that we are unable to process orders for personalised products by phone or post.

All of our products are fulfilled and delivered by third party partners. They endeavour to despatch all orders by the lead times below however these are a guide and may be affected by circumstances beyond reasonable control. If you are ordering products for a gift please allow plenty of time especially in the lead up to Christmas.
All information in this section relates to delivery to UK postcodes. Deliveries to other destinations (including the Republic of Ireland) will take longer.
If you have ordered more than one product, they may arrive separately.

Delivery of items ordered via promotions
Maps ordered through promotions via partners such as newspapers, magazines and other organisations are subject to longer delivery times. In general, you should allow up to 28 days for delivery after placing your order. Please refer to the promotion or the promotion website page for delivery specifics.

Orders delivered by Royal Mail are not tracked
*Courier deliveries will need to be signed for please supply an address which will be occupied during the day Monday to Friday.
By placing an order for items that do not fit through a letterbox or for items to be delivered by courier, you must ensure that someone is available to accept the delivery. If for any reason the delivery cannot be made due to these circumstance, you will be responsible for arranging for redelivery with the deliverers and will bare any extra costs associated with redelivery.

About our maps
Cassini's maps were scanned from originals that were sometimes more than 200 years old. Their quality and legibility does not always meet modern mapping standards and the maps are supplied “as is” from the original sheets, except where digital enhancement was deemed necessary.
We endeavour to supply you with the best map available for your given area. Anomalies such as difficult to read maps, mis-fitting joins, differing contrasts and colours, and lateral join lines may appear from time to time but should be regarded as part of the inherent vintage charm of this incredible feat of early surveying and cartographic excellence.

Returns and refunds
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your Cassini product you must first contact us by emailing You must supply your name, order number, product details and a brief description of the problem.

Any product which is damaged or not corresponding with the specifics of your order will be replaced by us at no charge. If we require you to return a damaged product we shall refund the postage cost. We cannot accept any responsibility for any orders which are returned to us without our having been previously notified.

N.B. apart from returns as described above, we cannot offer exchanges or refunds in respect of personalised or post-code centred products.
